I.   Vision 

 

The IFESS-Institute is a non-profit organisation, which is enhancing knowledge and advancing the social sciences in Europe and in the World to improve Social Sciences worldwide.

 

 

II.  Mission  

 

The Mission of the Ifess let to subdivide into Scientific, Educaitonal, Cultural and Administrative Mission.

 

I. Scientific Missions

1) To expand the  social science knowledge base.

2) To examine and improve the quality of social science thought.

3) To assist If ESS members in improving their ability to discover, gather, analyze, evaluate and
express their social science thoughts.

4)  To disseminate information concerning social science research developments.

5)  To encourage IfESS  investigators to continually improve their scientific research & comunicative skills.

6)  To provide opportunities for If ESS investigators to share their research findings with other countries.

 

  II. Educaitonal Mission

1. To advance the understanding of the social sciences.

2. To disseminate social science knowledge.

3. To encourage quality improvement in tools for teaching and learning the social sciences.

4. To encourage If ESS  investigators to excercise their aptptude for social science research,
as well as for academic, scientific and intercultural communication.

 

III. Cultural Mission

1. To provide opportunities for intercultural contact among academicians. disciplined investigators, IfESS members and others,  interested in social science issues .

2. To provide the highest possible membership value to If ESS members.

3. To offer active membership participation in the activities and policy development of the
If ESS  

 

 IV. Administrative Mission

1. To develop and maintain an effective organisational platform for stability and  continuity in fulfilling the If ESS Vision and accomplishment of the If ESS Missions. 

2. To advise Countries, governments, institutions, grupps for implrovement theier situations

3. To make research for socierties

 

III.  Objectives

According to the Vision and Mission Statement of the IfESS try to realise its concrete Goals 
in Short, Mid  and long Term
.

 

I.  Scientific Mission Accomplishment Objectives 

1)  Expand the social science knowledge base.

a) Develop an If ESS Catalog of Knowledge Resources®  for teaching the social sciences.

b) Identify gaps in  the social science knowledge base.

c) Solicit proposals from If ESS members and other interested persons for filling these knowledge gaps
through scientific research.

d) Generate funding to encourage such research.

2)  Examine and improve the quality of social science thought.

a) Coordinate peer reviews of scientific research findings, by IfESS Investigators.

b) Solicit online comment on draft findings by If ESS Investigators. 

3)  Develop and offer methods-oriented training seminars for IfESS Investigators to improve their ability to discover,
gather, analyze, evaluate and express their social science thoughts.

4)  Disseminate information about social science research developments, by:

a) ePublishing an online If ESS newsletter with information relating to:

  • New research findings 

  • Current  research projects

  • opportunities [for If ESS Investigators]

  • Knowledge base deficit discoveries [for If ESS Investigators]

  • Research projects funding opportunities [for If ESS Sponsors]

  • Fellowship and scholar

  • Research project fundiship opportunities [for If ESS Student Members]

b) Generating and issuing If ESS press releases.

c) Organizing and conducting If ESS press briefings.

 

II. Educaitonal Mission Accomplishment Objectives

1)   Enhance the understanding of:

a) economics

b) political science

c) sociological science

d) antrophology

2)  Organize and conduct fora for IfESS investigators to share their research findings among IfESS members, and to evaluate the merits and faults of such findings.

a) virtual (iNet) forums

b) virtual (videophonic) forums

c) propinquitous forums

3)  Present awards for excellence in various categories of:

a) social science research,

b) academic dissemination of social science research findings,

c) publication of social science research findings within the scientific community,

d) publication of social science knowledge among general interest audiences,

e) intercultural communication of social science knowledge,

f)  curriculum development for courses in the social sciences , at the:

  • Post-graduate level, 

  • Graduate level,

  • Undergraduate level,

  • Post-secondary academy level,

g) teaching of the social sciences, at the:

  • Post-graduate level,

  • Graduate level,

  • Undergraduate level,

  • Post-secondary academy level,

4)  To disseminate social science knowledge.

a) Organize and conduct Lectures and Seminars for If ESS investigators to share their research findings among If ESS members.

b) Organize and conduct Lecture Events and Lecture Series Events

c) Construct and maintain an online iWeb site, cataloging available social science knowledge resources.
Publish research findings of If ESS investigators.

 

5)  Encourage quality improvement in social science textbooks and other teaching resources.

a) Develop If ESS Approved® curricula for teaching the social sciences at the:

  • Post-graduate level,

  • Graduate level,

  • Undergraduate level,

  • Post-secondary academy level,

 b) Issue endorsement of If ESS Approved® textbooks for teaching the social sciences.

 

6)  Encourage IfESS  investigators to acquire the ability to continually improve their scientific research & comunicative  skills, by Funding and granting Ifess-fellowships and scholarships for If ESS investigators and students at the:

- Post-graduate level,

- Graduate level,

- Undergraduate level, and

- Post-secondary academy level, of academic and scientific endeavor.

 

III. Cultural Mission Accomplishment Objectives

1)  Provide opportunities for intercultural contacts among academicians. disciplined investigators,  IfESS members and others,  interested in the social science issues, by organizing and conducting:

a) If ESS membership meetings, and

b) If ESS membership luncheons.

2)  Provide the highest possible value to If ESS members in fellow categories.

a) Honorary Members

b) Sponsoring Members 

c) scientific investigators

d) academic members

e) social services practicioners & interns

f)  graduate student members

g) undergraduate student members

h) sponsored Ifess-Club members

  • Post-secondary academy students

3)  To offer active participation in the activities and policy development of the If ESS, according to membership category. 

  • To expand If ESS membership base.

IV. Administrative Support Mission Accomplishment Objectives

1)  Achieve and maintain registered non-profit organization (eingetragene Verein) status  with the Vereinsregister des Amtsgerichts.

2)  Achieve and maintain recognized scientifid, educational and/or cultural institution status (Gemeinnützigkeit) with the Finanzamt .

3)  Record, archive and publish If ESS history.

4)  Develop and maintain an effective organizational platform by: 

 

a) Conducting critical annual reviews of the IfESS

(1) Vision Statement,

(2) Mission Statement,

(3) Strategic, Intermediate and Annual Objectives,

(4) Strategic, Intermediate and Annual Goals,

(5) Satzung , i.e.,

• Constitution (Vereinsstatuten) and

• By-laws (Vereinsgrundsäze),

 

b) Conduct an Annual General Membership Meeting provide

(1) with minutes (Protokoll) of the AGM Meeting Proceedings

(2) with Annual Financial Report

 

c) Annually review and revise (as needed) the list of

(1) Officers and Directors,

(2) Policy Statements (Verordnungen), 

(3) Operating Manual(s) (Vorschriften), and

(4) Operating Procedure Guidelines (Richtlinien).

 

4)  Develop and maintain an effective financial management platform to provide stability and  continuity in financing the If ESS Vision fulfillment and Mission accomplishment, by: 

 

a) Preparing If ESS financial control budgets:

(1) Annual Capital Asset Purchases plan,

(2) Annual Operating Budget [with Quarterly Revisions], including:

Revenue-related Operating Expense Line Item Estimates,

• Operating Overhead Expense Line Item Estimates,

• Anticipated Extraordinary Expense Items,

• Contingency Reserve Contributions Requirements,

• Operating Revenue Forecasts,

• Anticipated Extraordinary Revenue Items,

(3) Annual Cash Flow Forecast

(4) Annual Cash Budget [with Monthy Revisions], showing:

• Beginning Cash Balance(s)

• Periodic Cash Receipts Forecasts

• Periodic Cash Disbursements Estimates

• Periodic Ending Cash Balances

• Maximum cash surplus balance [Potential cash reserve deposit(s)]

• Maximum cash deficit balance [Overdraft credit requirement(s)]

b) Preparing Annual financial Statements

(1) Balance Sheet

(2) Statement of Operating Surplus / Deficit

(3) Cash Flow Statement

(4) Conducting an annual independent financial audit of the If ESS.

 

5)  Generate adequate financial resources. 

6)  Develop and maintain an effective Managerial and Administrative staff. 

7)  Acquire and maintain access to an adequate administrative office. 

8)  Develop and maintain an effective Marketing and Public Relations staff. 

9)  Develop and maintain access to an effective Technical Operatons support staff. 

10)  Acquire and maintain access to an adequate operating location. 

11)  Acquire and maintain access to an adequate operating location. 

12) Provide administrative support policy guidance by organizing and conducting Directors
